Fire Drill

Kebanyakan apartment di sini dilengkapi dengan sistem keselamatan yang agak canggih. Dalam rumah pun ada fire alarm, so dah berapa kali benda tuh menjerit2 bila kami buat grill2 or baking2.. So basically, sekarang tiap kali kami grill etc, smoke detector tuh kami balut dengan plastic..huahuahua *evil laugh*.

But then last night at around 9.00 pm, waktu mr z tengah dinner (tu lerr, balik lambat sangat), the fire/ smoke detector for the building beeped a high pitched, loud and continuous ringing sound.And this time, we knew that it didnt come from our house..So he asked the neighbor who looked as puzzled as we were,

"This is certainly not a fire drill, they asked us to evacuate the building immediately"

Aduhh~ so there we go, we grabbed our jacket, put on the boots and me, i grabbed my daughter's bottle of milk and some cereals...sempat lagi tuh :P just in case it would take longer than expected. Aisyah, she thought that we were going out for fun, she was just all happy and insisted for her "diego go" book. Adihh~ Kami turun ke bawah, dah ada orang dalam 20 to 30 people, although i bet mesti ratus sebenarnya penghuni dalam bangunan setinggi 8 tingkat nih.

It wasnt a surprise either that the firemen were already there despite the fact that the alarm had just beeped for around 5 minutes, since chances were that the signal was sent directly to the fire station. Later on, we got to know that there were some fire in an apartment in 3rd floor.


"It seemed that somebody burned the toast" the firemen cracked a joke :P Lol.

We were safely returned to our apartment after 15 to 20 minutes. Nothing fancy - and im certainly not hoping for one :P

The funniest part was that, Aisyah sungguhla bising waktu kumpul ramai-ramai tuh. And when the firemen turned the alarm off, it was a sudden drop dead silence. Semua orang eager nak dengar penerangan bomba tentang apa yang terjadi. Tapi Aisyah, bercerita dan bergelak-gelak sama kuat dengan bomba. Haish~

Just how do you make a girl who would sing while brushing her teeth, to stop talking for a while? :P
