The fifty syllables are called "Gojyuu on" or "50 sounds".
a gyou refers "a" row : a, i, u, e, o
ka gyou refers to "ka" row; ka, ki, ku, ke, ko.... and so on
If you have zero knowledge in Japanese language, and wanted to do self study on it,
start with:
1. Learn how to pronunce Hiragana syllables correctly
2. Learn how to write Hiragana
Basically, writing in Japanese is full of art and rules, and very interesting. I think I will write on it in the next entry.
For now, please note that there is no "si" (and few other syllables, to be discussed later)... thus, those with the name Siti will basically ended up sounds "Shiti"..
