Karipap FKMP

My hubby invited me to join the iftar feast for the FKMP staff and the family. Huhu.. I like free food :D cant help it. Since it was going to be held half potluck style (they'd serve foods but still invited some dishes from FKMP families), he asked me to prepare some 'badak berendam', his recent fav but later changed it
to 'cocktail pudding', another fav of him, due to the shortage of supplies kat our rumah and me fearing that 'badak berendam' will lose their shapes by the time the iftar finally came.
The next morning, on that particular date, after hubby went for his usual task, I decided to take my darling baby to buy some stuff for that pudding, but found out that we were both "LOCKED FROM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE". The key was left inside the car! The car, of course, is with him there in UTHM.
Huhu!
Called him...predictably, he answered,
"Buat jer la apa2 yang patut. Abang sibuk nih!"
Huhu...classic.
Penat termenung dua tiga jam, something came into my mind! Although we ran out of 'ration'... I still have 'kentang' and 'tepung gandum'...
Haha! Karipap! I'll make karipap!!
Mind you!
Kali terakhir saya buat karipap ialah pada tahun 2002.
7 tahun yg lalu..Kt Jepun. Tu pun senior yang wat doh...
Strictly based on my MIL's "secret recipy for guaranteed crispy and less oily dough" and my own preference of minched meat and combination of two brands of curry powder... I did it.
I didnt have the mould so the end result was SERIOUSLY UGLY!! UGLY!! SUPER UGLY!!
Upon showing him the fried ones, he started to tease,
"Hehe..Abang cakap nih orang gaji yang buat..."
"Tak pun abang wat2 tak kenal la... nnti abang tunjuk, nih dia nih yang buat...dia dia"
Jahat!
Reluctant to think bout what others might say, I brought the ugly tiny currypuffs to Dewan Penyu. Dahla kat situ ada karipap yang beautifully plaited 5,6 pinggan...isk.. laying next to them, my currypuffs look exactly like the ugly duckling.
Tap kitorang tak sempat makan. They were silent hit. Even me and my hubby cant even take a look of their whereabout.
They were still a lot of currypuff leftovers, but none was mine.
Huhu... Laku rupanya karipap hodohku.
But my hubby masih nk ngusik,
"Huhu..agaknya diorang buang kut. Ingat apa benda la nih... tak macam kuih"

yer la tu..
Pastu on the way back, ada orang tuh request, "nak rasa sebijik pun jadila..."
Haha...tu lerr... balik, sempat lagi mengadun few more currypuffs.
Having taking a few bites, my hubby exclaimed
"Sedap! Abang bagi 5 bintang!"
Hehe...
Sambil makan sambil dia mengomel "Sedapnya sedapnya..."
My hubby was happy...
And Im flattered...

I CAN COOK!!
Hahaha... tak sangka. me happy happy...tak belila karipap pas ni,
