SAHM vs Working Mom

While we were reading/ discussing the rubbish-not-so-rubbish in the mag, we came upon an article about how this woman, a wife to somebody (whose monthly paycheck presumably is 6 figures digit) says that she simply return to work because she loves to do so. And suddenly, my fren said

Ms S: (In a very low tone) If it were me, If my future husband were damn rich, I wouldnt want to go out working. I would rather stay at home.
Ms F: (Another fren) Hehe... Dont worry. Its not just you, not just you...
Me: Me neither! Of coz la. Who do?
Ms S: I thought everybody else would say something like that 'I want to be independant. I simply love working..' kind of
Me and Ms F: No no...

There we were laughing hard at ourselves. Just what were we doing now, Master degrees for nothing?

While i am one stay-at-home-mom(SAHM) now, there is more than a great urge for me to go out and express myself in my own way, make my own cycles of friends and most of all, have all the power to spend :P.

Women, we would never stop from asking for more. Of that I must admit.

I wanted to write something that is nice, that would console my own heart and calm my own desire. For I wasnt actually serious of wanting to go out working and exposing myself to the cruelty of the money-making industry, its just that I wanted to do something that Im good (or better) at, and obviously doing house chores wasnt one of them. (Hopefully all that is to be listed below would not offend anyone, these are just for fun.)

The advantages of being a -->

CAREER MOM
1. My own money - all for myself! Could just buy anything without any guilty feeling
2. Something to give my parents from my own pocket! Wow..
3. Can buy a new ride for my daughter...and lottts of new and fancy dresses for her
4. Can change my old boring wardrobe without asking his permission and hear him says "Tak payahla, kita dah nak fly dah tahun depan" (translate-tahun depan = next year = 12 months = 365 days, counting down)
5. Salon.. I need a real treatment and a very good back massage...
6. Can travel to anywhere or at least to my workplace alone! Repeat- alone! No one to tag along
7. Make a bigger cycle of friends
8. Improve my poor general knowledge, Im so bad in living skills and geography
9. A wider point of view, ability to discuss many things and not being fooled
10. Improve my communication skills, im so bad at meeting new faces these days, i didnt even sure for myself if I was actually shaking upon attending a wedding ceremony
11. Being responsible and trusted for some tasks, the feeling would be priceless
12. Being able to accomplish any given tasks, the feeling would be even more wonderful
13. Can dress to kill :D without people blaming me for spending too much on it
14. Can say to pakcik taxi, "pakcik, KLCC please" ngehehe...
15. Can be excused from doing the never ending house chores
16. If my cook isnt so tasty, i can simply excuse myself "Hey, im working, rite?"

STAYING AT HOME MOM

1. "Abang, barang dapur dah nak habis la." Then, off we went to shop some groceries,and add the sentence "Oopss, saya tak bawak purse." when arrived.
2. "Kat mak ngan ayah dah put aside?", says me, wearing the look im-not-working-and-youre-my-everything
3. "Saya rasa elok kita beli basikal kat Ecah. Sian diaa..." He would buy, definitely.
4. A lot of compliments received from him, "Elok lagi baju tu." or "Sayang pakai nih comel la. Kalau jumpa sekali lagi pun abang still jatuh hati lagi.." sort of
5. Lagi besh, boleh panggil makcik ngurut datang rumah. Salon bergerak lagi.
6. Someone to tag along, a bodyguard aka driver aka bags carrier
7. His friends' wives are almost automatically my frens, thus, the network are expanding
8. Still lack of general info, hence, he would take all the pleasures of being blamed if anything goes wrong
9. I dont have to meet new people, can be very selective and stick to my comfortable zone, coz some other people can be very annoying and rude
10. Can improve my writing skills..haha
11. No responsible means no dateline
12. No datelines means no/less pressure
13. Save money and time and energy from unnecessary make-up session
14. Can say to him, "Abang, KLCC pleaseee" (please add some glitters to the eyes)
15. Can be excused if I forgot to do some house chores, after all, I did all the other houseworks, right? Oowh, tired so tired. You would never imagined :P
16. If my cook isnt so tasty, I can simply accuse of the lack of ingredients or "it wasnt me, the assistant cut the onion in the different direction." Naa...just kidding

To be honest, i didnt apply for any job (permanent one) upon persuaded by him. And gradually, the feeling come naturally where now, I myself, feel a bit reluctant to leave her alone, away from my eyes
