Us? We kinda rush into marriage. Thats all. Happen to be lucky to survive, maybe..We got married at very young age, blame him :P
The cutest thing was that, all my fellow girlfrens assured me that he would certainly receive severe punishments, nonstoppable mental harassment and ruthless physical tortures, would he dare to cheat on me. Ngehehehe...thank you, gals! I hope that promises still valid, arr...:P
Then, few years had passed and here we are, still fine, still doing good. Alhamdulillah.. I dont really believe the dos and the donts. I do take them them into considerations but I strongly believe that for a marriage to stand strong (and monogami? hehehe)...it really takes a strong and good man to do it. A man! A real man! 99% of the failing marriages consisted of the other xy partner happen to be an exceptionally weak man (unable to control his wife's desire/nafs), nonbeliever male, a temper tantrum partner or a lustful husband. either one or the combination of any of these. The other 1% are the exceptional cases such as in the stories of prophet Luth as and his wife. Women factor? We are just part of you, after all, we are weak and bended rib bone. Ngehehe
Sighh... Am being feminist? Let me be, coz by saying that you are already a racist yourself (feminin = race? since when?)
All married couples have their own secret recipes. And Im not gonna go on telling these are what you have to do and those are the taboos...etc etc. Im not good at advising other people. Im a good listener, yes, but i prefer to keep my advice all to myself, thank you. Dont ask me for my opinion coz i'll be very frank and honest that you might have regretted it that youve ever asked for one from me.

-Some couples believe that they need to share many things and similarities and stick as a couple wherever whenever forever.
-Some don't even bother to please each other but yet, they find their own sanctuary when they're together.
-Some other couples believe that they should take their own paths, but yet they walk in parallel and provide unconditional support to each other.
Love carries such a subjective definition to be written in a single sentence. When you are happy together, what else matters?
As long as you are being true to yourself and your partner, even before you got to know him/her, and that you surrender your marriage fully to Allah, He would definitely help you. Insya-Allah. That's the only do that Ive ever want to share . And the only donts that I would love to share is 'dont ever live a lie'. Lie once and you cant be true at any other time.

And I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my dear friend,Yin, and his husband, on their seventh anniversary.
May Allah bless you and your family. Good health and good luck here and thereafter.

i tried to digest the 'feminist' part of your posting zacque, but sorry... me still can't follow (muehehe... it's confusing in a very contradicting kinda way, huh?)

*daku si pengkaji the F word*
ur definition of feminist is bit..dfferent i guess?or everything is not?good then, coz my husband thought i am one...:P
no la, our marriage is not a success, i hope i didnt claim to be one, in any of my posts...huhu.did i? it's just that "so far so good", tu ja. marriage is a journey, the goal is yet to see...aljannah.
tak layak rasanya utk menjadi contoh. tsskk tsskk...
anyway thanx, harap2 itu jadi doa
hihi.. i got confused from the 'women factor.. bla, bla, bla' sentences. i reckon u r just being sarcastic kat situ kot? cz it seems contradicting dgn definition of the F word.
ramai yg konfius dgn istilah tu sbrnya. often ppl will view it in negative limelight. i dun see anything totally wrong with it. even dlm feminism itself ada byk cabang... n yes, western feminism is sometimes not suitable for us org2 asia dan islam neh...hehe.
xpe, not all women are feminists and not all feminists are women. having said that, maybe your husband wanna join the bandwagon?? kekeke...
owh..sarcasm it is. hehe..
